Michigan Christian Youth Camp (MCYC) is an excellent place to have your retreat. The following information should help you with some basic questions about MCYC.
Lodging - We have dorm style housing with bunk-bed style sleeping arrangements. Each cabin can fit 13 - 30 campers and has it’s own bathroom facilities in the room. All year-round dorms are new or remodeled in the last several years. There are also several meeting rooms available to fit your needs for groups from 10 - 150.
Food service is ready to give you a menu that will meet your needs. We serve hot meals for all our meal times and lunch and dinner are always served with a 10-item Salad Bar. All meals are served in Hawley Lodge buffet/cafeteria style. Please make every effort to be on time for your meal, late groups may throw off the schedule for the day. Once all groups go through the line, we then allow ‘seconds’ with the sound of the world famous ‘seconds bell’!!
Located in the lower level of Hawley Lodge is our community area. There is an air hockey table, foosball table, ping pong tables, tables and chairs, and vending machines. This area is open for use by everyone at the camp and is open until 11:00 pm. Our camp store is also located in the basement of the lodge. This is open each day. Please check the board in the lobby for the times. You can purchase candy, chips, pop, shirts and hoodies.
Should you like to have it opened at a different time, please make arrangements for your group.
Lodge Hours are 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
Later times can be arranged through Guest Services prior to your groups’ arrival.

Team Building at MCYC!
No matter what you choose to call it, challenge courses and team building activities are used
around the state to build teamwork, spirit, and self-esteem. The confidence program can make
an incredible impact on someone’s life. The most influential impact programs are when
Christian influences are incorporated into the experience. Our staff will work from a Christian
world view. When we work with Christian based groups, we will incorporate Scriptural
principles and life applications into the experience. When we work with public schools or non-Christian groups, we do not attempt to ‘push’ our
Christian faith and beliefs onto students. If a student raises the issue, we will answer it
appropriately, but will not turn it into a sermon.
At MCYC, we strive to create an environment that allows every group using our facilities to be able to achieve their goals while here with us. We help promote the right environment by choosing only Christian music to play in our common areas and do our best to put forth excellence in all aspects of our program. You can assist us in these efforts by utilizing only positive & encouraging music in your activities and refraining from using any language that is considered obscene or foul.
