We will start work at about 9 a.m. And plan to finish about 1:30 p.m. That last hour or so is spent cleaning up and putting things away. Lunch is served starting at around 12:30.
What is Fix and Mix Day? A day we set aside to help clean up the camp and get ready for our season.
What do we do?
We have many projects scheduled that day. Including window washing, raking, cleaning buildings, some minor repairs, minor painting, clearing brush and debris from our trails, policing mowing zones for debris, landscaping assistance, pressure washing concrete and decking areas in need, tree removal and lumberjacking, and other general cleanup.
Things we need help with on the 29th is painting, blowing leaves, raking grass, general housekeeping, trim work on windows, and the 'list' below. As well as a team of guys to drop and cut up about 25 trees. We will have youth groups the following weekend come out and pick up and clean up the trees and limbs.
If you would like to sign up for a certain project, click here, for a listing of projects. Make sure to list the project you want in your comment section on the registration below.
Who can help? Anyone!! We have jobs for all ages and all sizes, and all abilities. If you can pick up a stick, you can help!! Even if you just want to cheer people on and thank them for their service. Each group must have at least one adult to help supervise the group. If you have younger children, please plan accordingly for their safety and supervision.
What if I can’t make it for the entire time? That is okay. Whether you can be here for one hour or five, your time and talent will be greatly treasured and appreciated. We have special needs as well depending on your ability. Should you have a trade skill that can bless the camp, please fill out the form below.
If you are familiar with a chainsaw and need wood to help heat your home please feel free to come. We have a special team that takes down trees and cuts up the wood. You are welcome to take as much home with you as you can fit in your truck or trailer. However you must clean up what is left behind from the tree (branches, scraps, etc.).
A great opportunity for families, small groups, youth groups and individuals to come out to camp and help be the hands and feet of Jesus.
