The Brant Oberst Recreation Field
Our hearts are with the Oberst family.
Recently they suffered a heartbreaking loss of their 10-year-old son, Brant. In his memory we are naming our recreation field after him. Brant had a love for sports, connecting with people, and we would like him to be remembered here at MCYC. His love for camp was contagious, and as our Executive Director shares about Brant, 'He loved it all. Everything. There was nothing at camp that he did not love doing. He was the kid you just looked at, and he made you smile every day!'
Funds raised will create the Brant Oberst Recreation Field.
This will include an upgraded volleyball court, a permanent 9-Square court, and a sign to memorialize Brant.
Should funds exist we will also add lighting so the area can be enjoyed at dusk and in the evening.
